The construction has carried out in two phases with 3 classrooms and offices.
. The project was submitted to the architect who is in charge of historical buildings (The ABF).
. The building faces south for solar gain. There is wood solar protection near the windows and outside blinds.
. The school uses timber framed construction with 16 cm thick glass wool insulation and
6 cm outside polystyrene insulation.
. The roof is insulated with 24 cm insulation and it is a green roof.
. Domestic hot water is produced thanks to solar panels.
. The school is heating with natural gas.
. The building is fitted with a mechanical ventilation (single-flow system).
. Wood cladding on the walls is natural without the use of chemicals.
.The building energy consumption is 80 Kwh/m2/year.
(In France, the rule in 2012 is still 120 Kwh/m2/year).
